Scan a halal label photo from Telegram

Send a photo of a Chinese food package to @ChinaMuslimKitBot and get a first-pass ingredient analysis without typing out the ้…ๆ–™่กจ.

Before you start

You need a ChinaMuslimKit account with Plus. Telegram must be able to reach the bot; it may be blocked on some mainland-China connections without a suitable VPN or roaming connection.

1

Open the bot

In Telegram, message @ChinaMuslimKitBot.

2

Create a link code

Send /start. The code expires after 15 minutes.

3

Link your account

Open the link from the bot, or paste its code into the Telegram card in the halal scanner.

4

Send the photo

Send the bot a clear photo of the package's ingredients list. The scan usually takes up to a minute.

Get a better scan

  • Lay the package flat and photograph the entire ingredients list.
  • Use bright, even light; avoid glare and shadows.
  • Move close enough that Chinese characters and E-numbers are readable.
  • For a long label, send multiple photos in separate messages.
  • If you know the brand or product name, include it in the message caption.

Use the result carefully

The Telegram response is an AI first-pass analysis, not a fatwa or halal certification. Recipes can change and photos can be incomplete. Confirm the actual label and consult a qualified scholar or trusted halal authority when the result is uncertain.

Common questions

Do I need Plus to scan a label photo in Telegram?+

Yes. Telegram photo scanning is available to linked ChinaMuslimKit Plus accounts. Pasting an ingredient list into the bot remains available without linking.

How should I photograph the label?+

Use a sharp, well-lit photo with the ingredients list flat and fully visible. Avoid glare, shadows, blur, and folded packaging. If the list is long, send more than one photo.

Can I rely on the Telegram result as a halal ruling?+

No. The result is an AI first-pass analysis. Manufacturers can change ingredients, so always confirm the actual package and consult a qualified scholar or trusted halal authority when unsure.
